The students were amazed how much their bean plants grew in one week. Almost all of them had germinated but were in all different stages of growth. The students were quite fascinated how they could see the stem of the plant and the roots emerging from inside the swollen seeds.
The students observed their plants and walked around the class looking at the different stages all the plants were in, comparing what they saw and asking all sorts of questions.
I asked them to include at least one measurement when they recorded their observations.
Some of the students were sure they could see their plants growing right before their eyes!
