A special package arrived at the school on Thursday and I brought the students into the library to open it up and see 25 little caterpillars in containers with their food. All the primary classes will be observing how these little caterpillars grow and change into Painted Lady butterflies. The students couldn't get over how very tiny these caterpillars are...five or six days old at this stage!

We also checked in on our tomato seedlings growing in the library. The students were surprised how many leaves they had now.

And then back to the classroom to check in on our bean plants. One student had planted two seeds in her cup and both germinated so she decided to pull one out. It gave us all a good chance to see the root structure with the whole plant.

On student exclaimed, *We're growing so many different things!*
