Oh Janice... speaking from your heart about your journey has brought me to tears, too. I am making connections to life experiences and choices I have made that could make me feel regretful, but instead make me realize how important balance is in life. You have a wonderful perspective about it, and it is a perfect weekend to write and reflect on your blog about the experience. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Janice for sharing this. Just so you know...you have a PH.D. in life, which is what is really important.

What you bring in your work world, family world, whatever world, is most important. I appreciate how you shared your heart with everyone about your experience. What a wonderful reminder to us all; we all need to stop and find the true balance in life.

Janice, thank you once again for being a leader and modelling your vulnerability. From where I stand, your dept of knowledge and wisdom has always been apparent. You are a great mentor and friend to so many educators. Your dream of bringing quality education to students is coming true-because of you. Your PhD journey brought tears to my eyes, but my heart knows that you are very much a "doctor" to our education system. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for being you.

Janice, I just finished watching Brene Brown talk about vulnerability - and then I came upon this post! In her words, “Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.”

Thank you for your honesty and bravery, I am confident that you have not let a single person down, quite the opposite - you lift so many of us! I have to echo what Hieu said, you are very much a "doctor" to our education system, to our district and to your colleagues.

In my eyes, you have a PhD in mentoring, leading, educating and trail blazing!
