After a long evening of fencing on Friday night, I was back at the Oval before 8am on Saturday morning. Yes, not my favourite time of day to up and going but a clubmate of Colin's was having foil issues so Colin offered to lend him one of his and that competition started at 8am. I ended up staying until almost noon. Watching fencing is so much more enjoyable when you're not anxious about how your child is doing!
The day was beautiful outside and the garden seems to be recovering from the crazy stormy weather this week. I do need to get my tomato plants supported though. The clematis is just bursting with blooms and the pink ones are coming up next!
On Saturday evening we decided to have a late dinner at the Richmond Night Market in its new location. Colin had noodles, Neil had dumplings and chicken and Adam and I decided to try something new which I think is part of the fun of going to the Night Market.
Adam had the beef burger and I had the shrimp. Both were very tasty.
The Night Market is not what you'd call a "natural" environment...even the trees are plastic and electric!
Sunday was truly a day of rest. The boys and I slept in and enjoyed a late breakfast of blueberry lime scones.
