We picked up my nephew from the airport, picked up slurpees and hung out at home for awhile on Friday afternoon. And then the sun actually came out! So we hustled into Steveston to catch a glimpse of the tall ships at the Ships to Shore festival. We were just five minutes too late to walk on to the docks and board the ships but we enjoyed having a look from the boardwalk.
After checking out the ships, we stopped at the mini-donut place and bought some Canadiana donuts for a snack. The maple bacon ones were a big hit with all three boys!
A fun way to launch our Canada Day long weekend!
