Friday night brought a hockey game against our hometown rivals, Seafair. Adam started off the first period with two great goals and had so many shots at the end of the third as he tried to get a hat-trick. That didn't happen but they won 6-2 so the team was very happy :)
Neil decided he was done with the whole Movember moustache thing and threatened to shave it off this weekend so I made sure to capture a picture of him. I'm all for the cause but I must say, I am glad to have the smooth-faced Neil back!
Saturday morning brought a cold and rainy soccer game, a quick stop at the Steveston Christmas craft fair and then another hockey game for Adam.
On Saturday afternoon, I headed off on a birthday celebration adventure for my friend Lisa. We crammed so much into our time together that it seemed like a bit of an Amazing Race as we went to all our planned locations, walked through the streets of Vancouver and hopped in and out of the car. It was such a fun afternoon/night out with a group of good friends.
On Sunday morning we met my sister and her kids at Sophie's Cosmic Cafe for a birthday brunch for Colin. He was happy to get his waffles and whipped cream! He also couldn't wait to get home to try out his airsoft gun thing. Very strict rules so far - eye protection, only for target practice in a safe corner of our backyard, etc. How things escalate!
In honour of the Grey Cup, I made some chocolate peanut butter rice krispie footballs.
Apparently, they were good luck ;)
Congratulations to the BC Lions on their Grey Cup victory!
