Last Saturday evening when we had girls night in, I made two little autumn matchbook albums. One is for me, to hold our autumnn photos and the other will be for my mom, full of cousin photos from our Thanksgiving dinner at my parents' new home.
Matchbook books are quick and easy to make are nice and flat which makes popping them in the mail easy peasy. For these books, I cut a piece of heavy double-sided 12x12 scrapbook paper in half to make a 6x12 cover. I folded up about 1.5 inches at one end to make the flap and then folded the rest of the rectangle almost in half (the half that will be the front cover needs to be slightly shorter in order to tuck into the flap). I cut several squares of paper to about 5x5, slipped them in the flap and then hole-punched two holes and tied the book together with bakers twine.
Gratefulness is something I try and think about year round but at this time of year, I am especially thankful for the life that I have. Last year, I created a "ten things" list and it was interesting to look back on that...nothing has really changed for me - I'm still so very thankful.
