Very early Saturday morning (like 5:30am early), I drove Neil to a parking lot at the University of Washington where he was starting the RSVP bike ride from Seattle to Vancouver over two days. The first day, he was to cover 105 miles/170 kilometres. Neil has run marathons and done triathalons but has never done a bike ride like this. His biggest concern was getting lost!
I admire this man so much...he sets goals, works towards them and is always pushing himself and trying new things. I think he is an amazing role model for our sons.
So although I am not really a morning person, I was happy to get up and help send him off on his way.
